Important Reminders:
- ADVISORS CANNOT GRANT OVERRIDES or LIFT HOLDS – students MUST reach out to the department in which they need the overrides or holds lifted
- Check Course Restrictions in SSC - students may register for general sections (3 numbers - ex. 002) or most sections beginning with the letter Y (ex. Y01), or the letter J numbered 10 and higher (ex. J12); other sections with letters such as A, C, H, M, Z, and others will be restricted to specific student populations
- Check Course Descriptions in SSC - some classes are only open to certain majors or minors, or may be restricted for a set amount of time
- For example, POLI courses are restricted to majors during registration week, then open to minors, then to the general population
- Pre-Requisite Errors - students must pass a required course before taking the next one
- For example, MATH 111 or MATH 111i are the pre-requisites for MATH 122
- Other Errors- View the "Common Holds & Restrictions" page for addtional restrictions
- For example, "Field of Study Restriction" means that a course is restricted to certain majors/minors/colleges
